The Ag-Bio Industrial Summit is a forum, for the community to gather annually, to learn about the current industry, outline hurdles and challenges and identify opportunities for growth.

iBIO has partnered with the Vision for Illinois Agriculture on this program. The Illinois Department of Agriculture is the presenting sponsor for the 2012 and 2013 Ag-Bio Industrial Summits.

Illinois is competitive in promoting bio industrial applications because of four major factors.

• Advanced large and diverse industrial applications market
• Critical mass of science and technical expertise
• One of the largest and most advanced agriculture sectors in the world
• Large and diverse business, logistics and transportation infrastructure that can support the expansion of a global bio industrial sector

This panel will review Illinois’ current strengths, identify hurdles and outline future opportunities for growth in the bio industrial industry from the viewpoint of the complete supply chain.
